Ignite unfolded in layers. I actually started with the warmer colors first. The orange, crimson, and flashes of pink were there from the beginning, setting the tone and bringing all that heat right to the surface. It felt bold and a little unruly. As it developed, I brought in the cooler blues last, letting them move across and around the fire. They softened certain areas, pushed others back, and created that tension I’m always chasing. I scraped into it, added collage, let some edges blur and others stay sharp. It holds that balance of intensity and restraint. A steady burn with something deeper simmering underneath.
